A whistleblower spotlighted by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) has been reinstated by the Merit Systems Protection Board. That’s not a typo. . . HAS BEEN REINSTATED.
According to the Associated Press:
An administrative law judge granted Gary Strader’s motion for reinstatement because Strader presented enough evidence to suggest there is a “substantial likelihood” he will prevail in his case against the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services, where he worked as a professional hunter in northeast Nevada until his firing in April.
The judge, Craig A. Berg, also noted the government has made no effort to contest Strader’s claim or resist his motion for reinstatement.
Is AJ Berg trying to make a break for the border? Is he defecting from the “it’s not torture until we say it is” administration? One can only hope. Perhaps if Obama and Congress dismantle MSPB (as I hope they will one day), there may be a job for him somewhere.

My question is who investigated the complaint and came up with nothing. The supervisor cannot take action against an employee without the consent of an agency executive and their human resources department.
Is this where they get into a “Blame Storming” session?
A small step forward…I’ll take it!
MSPB is a joke! I hope the Judge’s read this board….we know they are all pro-agency. I submitted solid proof, emails, documents, testimony, etc. that all revealed illegal practices of the agency, but nothing was done. I will take it to the next level, someone will eventually investigate the LA District for corruption. I can name at least a dozen corrupt managers that should not be employed at USACE LA District.
[...] case was looking .eh. (that’s the highest rating you can get at MSPB – .eh.) He had Craig Berg as the administrative judge, and the orders coming out of MSPB were to be expected, but not [...]
